I've been to many NYC museums. I've already been to the MoMa... but that was a few years back, when I lived here. Since my last visit, they completely renovated the museum.
So for my short visit in town, I wanted to at least go to one museum, and I chose the Moma. Everyone said they did a great job renovating the place, I'll judge for myself.
I already have my ticket since I bought the combo ticket at the Top of the Rock.
The place looks very clean, bright, white... The art piece are emphasized by the wide white rooms.
I've always loved museums, it's so quiet, peaceful and very stimulating. I've always been fascinated by paintings (I wish I knew how to paint!).Looking at great pieces of art, and imagining the state of mind of the artist when he/she worked on it. Or how many brsuh strokes are needed to accomplish such beautiful things! I'm always amazed at that.
On top of the painting, and sculptures, I really enjoyed the room full of design furniture, electronic devices etc. It's fun to see how design evolves through times.
I also enjoyed the view from the corner of each room. You can see the city from time to time. They placed a filter on the windows, so the colors feel stronger when you look outside! I like that.
In this museum, people can take pictures of the art... I can't remember any museum allowing photos. They should follow the MoMa exemple!!
